Terms & Conditions

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1. CapitaStar x ShopBack Campaign (the “Promotion”) is exclusive to members of CapitaStar Rewards and ShopBack (referred to as “Eligible Shopper”). Shoppers can download the CapitaStar and ShopBack mobile applications and sign up within the apps as a member to qualify and participate in this Promotion. CapitaStar Rewards (Refer to CapitaStar Rewards Programme) is only awarded for the Qualifying Spend at participating CapitaLand malls as shown in the table below.

1.2. The Promotion is organised by CapitaStar Pte Ltd (“CapitaLand”) and ShopBack Financial Services Singapore Pte. Ltd. (“ShopBack”) (collectively known as “Organisers”) and shall be governed by these terms and conditions (“T&Cs”).

1.3. The promotion period (“Promotion Period”) is from 1 March to 30 June 2026, both dates inclusive.

2. PROMOTION MECHANICS - Link, Spend and Earn Up To 25% Cashback 

2.1. The mechanics of the Promotion are as follows:

2.1.1. Eligible Shoppers must meet the minimum transactional value in a single transaction as shown in the table below (“Qualifying Spend”) at the participating store(s) of the participating CapitaLand mall(s) to receive the respective eCapitaVoucher (“eCapitaVoucher Reward”) and ShopBack CashBack (“bonus Cashback”).

2.1.2. Upon making a Qualifying Spend via ShopBack Pay, customers will receive a notification and must open the ShopBack app to redeem their bonus Cashback. The bonus Cashback is awarded in the form of a scratch card, and the bonus Cashback must be redeemed within 48 hours of receiving the scratch card. For avoidance of doubt, the bonus Cashback is revealed by scratching the scratch card on the ShopBack app. No extensions will be allowed, and no reminders will be sent prior to the expiry of such bonus Cashback. 

2.1.3. To be notified when a scratch card is awarded, the user must enable notifications through the ShopBack app/device settings. Earned bonus Cashbacks can be accessed via the “Rewards” page, in the Profile section of the ShopBack app. Refer to the ShopBack app for more details. Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the ShopBack app.

2.1.4. The value of the eCapitaVoucher Reward will be awarded at random upon meeting the minimum Qualifying Spend in a single transaction and will be automatically credited directly into the CapitaStar app of the Eligible Shopper upon verification of all approved transactions.

2.1.5. The eCapitaVoucher Reward awarded in this Promotion shall expire in three (3) months from the date of issuance. Eligible Shoppers can tap on the “Voucher” tab from the CapitaStar app main screen to view the eCapitaVoucher Reward and the expiry date. CapitaLand shall not be obliged to entertain any request to extend the validity of the eCapitaVoucher Reward. 

2.1.6. The eCapitaVoucher Reward and the ShopBack scratch card in this Promotion are provided on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability at the respective Participating CapitaLand mall(s), while stocks last. 

2.1.7. The eCapitaVoucher Reward (Tiers 1, 2 & 3) in this Promotion is limited to the first 19,000 redemptions in total and each reward tier is subject to its own stock availability. There is no limit to the number of rewards an Eligible Shopper can receive throughout the campaign period upon meeting the minimum Qualifying Spend in a single transaction.

2.1.8.  An Eligible Shopper’s eCapitaVoucher Wallet on the CapitaStar app can hold a maximum of S$1,000 eCapitaVoucher(s) at any one time. Should the aggregate value of an Eligible Shopper’s eCapitaVoucher Wallet Balance and eCapitaVoucher Reward(s) exceed S$1,000, the Reward(s) will be placed on the Eligible Shopper’s eCapitaVoucher Queue. Upon having sufficient eCapitaVoucher Wallet availability to receive the Reward(s), the Reward(s) in Queue will be credited into the Eligible Shopper's eCapitaVoucher Wallet. 

2.2. ELIGIBILITY

2.2.1. To participate in the Promotion, a shopper must; 

• Be a CapitaStar member (aged 16 years and above) and ShopBack account holder at the point of joining the Promotion AND
• Have successfully linked their CapitaStar and ShopBack Accounts prior to making payment in any of the Participating CapitaLand malls (referred to as “CS x SB Linked Member”). Each CapitaStar member will be linked to one ShopBack account AND
• Payment is done through ShopBack Pay (referred to as “Accepted ShopBack Payment Mode”) with the linked ShopBack account.

2.2.2. The Organisers reserve the right to disqualify any CS x SB Linked Member who is found at any time to be in breach of the relevant eligibility or qualifying criteria. CapitaStar account will be terminated promptly and may be dealt with at the Organisers’ sole discretion.

2.3. QUALIFYING SPEND

2.3.1. The Promotion is valid for transactions completed within the Participating CapitaLand malls, whilst stocks last. CapitaStar programme rules shall apply, unless otherwise stated. Reward issuance is based on NETT amount paid using the Accepted ShopBack Payment Mode in-store, and the Qualifying Spend shall exclude payment made by eCapitaVoucher/any other promotions, unless otherwise stated. Splitting of transactions is strictly not permitted.

2.3.2. CapitaLand and ShopBack may reject any transaction as invalid at their sole and absolute discretion, and such determination shall be final and conclusive.

2.3.3. CapitaLand and ShopBack reserves the right to verify all purchases made by the Eligible Shopper during the Promotion.

2.3.4. Eligible Shoppers shall refer to the ShopBack app for more details and ensure that the latest version of the ShopBack app is installed on their mobile devices.

3. PROMOTION MECHANICS – CLAIM PROMOS 

3.1. Eligible Shoppers may claim “Spring into Rewards” discount eVouchers (referred to as “Promos” on the ShopBack app) via the ShopBack app, on a first-come, first-served basis and while stocks last. These Promos are valid for use at participating stores within selected categories at the Participating CapitaLand mall(s). Each Eligible Shopper is limited to one (1) redemption per type of “Spring into Rewards” Promo throughout the campaign period. The available Promos are as follows:

 

3.2. Promos can be claimed on the ShopBack app during the Promotion Period, or until the Promos are fully redeemed, whichever is earlier.

3.3.  A successful claim of a “Spring into Rewards” Promo does not guarantee a successful redemption of said Promo. Redemptions at participating stores are limited and subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis and while stocks last.

3.4. Claimed Promos are valid only during the stated validity period and are subject to availability. Unused Promos will expire at the end of the validity period and will not be reinstated.

3.5. The Promo must be applied prior to making payment via ShopBack Pay in the ShopBack app at participating stores within participating CapitaLand mall(s). 

3.6. Only one Promo can be applied per transaction.

3.7. Promos are non-shareable, non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions unless otherwise stated.

3.8. Full terms and conditions of the Promos, as well as the list of qualifying stores, are available within the ShopBack app.

3.9. CapitaStar and ShopBack reserve the right to amend or withdraw any Promo offer at any time without prior notice.
 

4. GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

4.1. The eCapitaVoucher Reward (if any) cannot be exchanged for different denominations and are subject to the relevant terms and conditions governing the use of the eCapitaVoucher. Please refer to eCapitaVouchers terms and conditions.

4.2. By participating in this Promotion, the Member (CapitaStar members):

4.2.1. Acknowledges and consents to the processing, collection, use and disclosure of his/ her Personal Data by the Organisers, its affiliates, subsidiaries and related corporations including its holding company, CapitaLand Investment Limited (collectively, “CapitaLand Group”), and authorised agents, business partners and service providers in compliance with applicable data protection laws, regulations and guidelines to facilitate the administration of the Promotion including compliance with the Promotion Terms and Condition and that he/ she has read and agreed with the CapitaLand Group’s and Data Protection Policy available at https://www.capitaland.com/international/en/legal-notices/privacy-policy.html  and  may be amended, replaced, substituted from time to time.

4.2.2. Agrees that CapitaLand and ShopBack and its affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, business partners and respective officers and employees shall not be liable for any actions, claims, demands, injuries, proceedings, liability, losses, damages, costs and expenses of any nature sustained by the member directly or indirectly by reason of or in connection with this Promotion. The member shall indemnify and keep the Organisers and its officers, servants, agents and employees ("the Indemnified Parties") fully indemnified against any and all loss, damage, demand, liability, claims, expenses and costs (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis) suffered and/or incurred by any of the Indemnified Parties as a result of the breach of any of the terms and conditions herein by the member. Members are deemed to have read, understood and accepted all the T&Cs set out herein, as well as any other requirements set out in any related promotional material, and all amendments, additions, replacements and modifications there to as may be made from time to time.

4.3. Acceptance of any Reward shall constitute consent on the part of the Eligible Shopper to allow the use of his/ her name, image, voice and/or likeness by CapitaLand and ShopBack for editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing and/or other purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law.

4.4. All eCapitaVoucher Rewards are non-transferable, non-refundable, and non-exchangeable for cash, credit, goods or benefits-in-kind, unless otherwise stated.

4.5. The eCapitaVoucher Reward shall be awarded on the presumption that the submitted transactions are valid. CapitaLand and ShopBack may reject transactions as invalid at their sole and absolute discretion, and such determination shall be final and conclusive. In the event any transaction is rejected by CapitaLand and ShopBack as invalid, CapitaLand shall reserve the right to void the eCapitaVoucher Reward and/or eVoucher awarded to the Eligible Shopper and recover the monetary value of the Rewards.

4.6. CapitaLand and ShopBack and its partner(s) (if any) in this Promotion reserve the right to change, vary, replace, substitute, amend, withdrawal or cancel this Promotion and/or any of the terms and conditions herein at their sole and absolute discretion and without prior notice or any liability to any party.

4.7. CapitaLand and ShopBack do not make any warranty or representation in relation to any product or services offered in this Promotion or redeemed by vouchers or gift certificates and shall not accept any liability in respect of the same.

4.8. By participating in this Promotion, the Eligible Shopper represents that he she has read, understood and agreed with this Promotion Terms and Conditions.

4.9. This Promotion Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Singapore and all participants in this Promotion irrevocably submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore Courts to resolve all disputes in connection with and arising out of this Promotion Terms and Conditions.

4.10. CapitaLand and ShopBack’s decision on all matters relating to the Promotion shall be final, conclusive and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.
