1. What is CapitaStar Rewards Programme?
CapitaStar is a card-less Rewards Programme with no membership fee or expiry. We reward you with STAR$ (on top of all other rewards on your everyday spend) when you make purchases at participating retailers across CapitaLand Malls. STAR$ are awarded automatically when receipts uploaded via the CapitaStar App are approved.
The STAR$ accumulated in this programme can be used to exchange for eCapitaVoucher and/or exclusive Deals on our CapitaStar Mobile App.

2. What is the difference between CapitaCard and CapitaStar?
CapitaCard is a lifestyle credit card issued by American Express® that provides shoppers with endless rewards on shopping, dining and entertainment across CapitaLand Malls.

3. How does CapitaStar work?
3 Easy Steps To Earn And Redeem STAR$
SHOP
Shop at any participating CapitaLand Malls (with min $20 spend per receipt) or at Jewel Changi Airport (with min $10 spend per receipt) and retain your receipts to earn STAR$®.EARN
Simply snap your receipt with min S$20 spend and upload via the CapitaStar Mobile App ($1 spent = 5 STAR$). There is no need to snap your Capita3Eats & eCapitaMall invoices as the STAR$ will automatically be credited into your CapitaStar account.Receipts of purchase(s) must be submitted no later than the next day of purchase (11.59pm) to be eligible for STAR$®.
REDEEM
Redeem eCapitaVouchers via the CapitaStar Mobile App (5000 STAR$ = $5 eCapitaVoucher). You can also redeem exclusive shopping and dining rewards on the CapitaStar Mobile App to enjoy greater savings! -
4. Am I eligible to be a CapitaStar member?
CapitaStar Rewards Programme is open to all residents residing in Singapore, aged 16 years and above, with a unique Singapore registered mobile number and email address.

No, membership is free.

No, transfer of membership is not permitted in this Rewards Programme.

Membership is valid for a lifetime.
However, membership is still subject to termination or suspension should there be any suspicious or fraudulent activities found in account.

2. How do I accumulate STAR$ (points for CapitaStar)?
Simply snap your receipt with min S$20 spend ($10 for Jewel Changi Airport) and upload via the CapitaStar Mobile App.
For Jewel Changi Airport, STAR$ are automatically awarded when you dine and shop in Jewel Changi Airport, if you have linked your CapitaStar and Changi Rewards accounts. Click here to find out more.
For Capita3Eats and eCapitaMall, STAR$ are automatically awarded for purchases and based on nett purchase amount and excludes delivery fees (if any). Do ensure that you have input the mobile number used to register for CapitaStar Rewards Programme when placing an order on Capita3Eats and eCapitaMall.
Receipts of purchase(s) must be submitted no later than the next day of purchase (11.59pm) to be eligible for STAR$®.
STAR$ issued will stored in your membership account with indicated expiry date. You can check your STAR$ balance via the CapitaStar Mobile App.

3. How is STAR$ calculated?
For every receipt uploaded, you will be entitled to STAR$ rounded down to the nearest dollar. For every S$1 captured, you will earn 5 STAR$ (1 STAR$ for supermarkets & food courts).
STAR$ are awarded based on the nett purchase value after deduction of discounts at all participating retailers.

4. What can I do with my accumulated STAR$?
You can redeem your STAR$ for eCapitaVouchers and exclusive shopping and dining rewards via the CapitaStar Mobile App.
The exchange rate of STAR$ for eCapitaVouchers are as follows:
5,000 STAR$ = $5 CapitaVoucher
10,000 STAR$ = $10 CapitaVoucher
50,000 STAR$ = $50 CapitaVoucher

5. What is the minimum spend needed in a single receipt to earn STAR$?
A minimum spend of S$20 (S$10 at Jewel Changi Airport) in a single receipt is required. Receipts of purchase(s) must be submitted no later than the next day of purchase (11.59pm) to be eligible for STAR$®.

6. How many receipts can I upload in a day?
You can upload receipts as long as they are from purchases made by you. However, STAR$ will not be awarded for subsequent receipt(s) uploaded once you have hit the cap as per below:
- Cap of 3 receipts for same store purchase in a day
- Cap of 20 receipts across all malls in a rolling 7-days period
Cap of maximum 5,000 STAR$ a day.

7. How long does it take for my receipt submitted to be processed?
Receipt will be processed within 24 hours from your submission and STAR$ will be reflected in your account summary immediately upon approval.

You may check your STAR$ balance via your CapitaStar Account through any of the below platforms:

9. If I have receipts that are given to me, can I use it to earn the STAR$?
STAR$ can only be awarded for your own purchases. If any shopper is found using receipts other than their own purchases to accumulate STAR$, CapitaStar reserves the right to terminate their membership.

10. Will my STAR$ expire?
With effect from 1st October 2018, instead of having all STAR$ expire in June the next year, your STAR$ will now expire one calendar year after your transaction date* - based on the quarter of the year your transaction date falls in.
For more accurate STAR$ expiry, you may refer to the expiry date in the CapitaStar Mobile App.
*The expiry date will fall on the last day of the month.

11. Which are the outlets that qualify for STAR$ accumulation?
All outlets with printed receipts / tax invoices within participating CapitaLand Malls shall qualify for STAR$ accumulation except the following:

12. Must I upload the receipts on the same day of purchase?
Receipts of purchase(s) must be submitted no later than the next day of purchase (11.59pm) to be eligible for STAR$®.
For Illustration:
- For purchases made on 1 January 2020, receipts must be submitted not later than 2 January 2020, 11.59pm.
You may upload receipts at your own convenience via the CapitaStar Mobile App.

13. Are purchases made before I join the CapitaStar rewards programme valid for STAR$ accumulation?
You may start accumulating STAR$ only after you have successfully registered for the CapitaStar Rewards Programme.

14. What is the maximum number of STAR$ that I can collect on the single day?
For every S$1 captured, you will earn 5 STAR$ (1 STAR$ for supermarkets & food courts). You can accumulate up to a maximum of 5,000 STAR$ a day.
The daily cap of 5,000 STAR$ applies to all bonus STAR$ promotion, unless otherwise stated by the respective promotions.

15. Which are the participating CapitaLand Malls in this programme?
You can accumulate STAR$ when you shop at participating CapitaLand Malls (refer to list below) by uploading your receipt(s) via the CapitaStar app.

16. Can I upload more than one receipt in a single snap?
No, you can only upload one receipt image at a time. Uploading more than one receipt in a single snap will result in missing or confusing information being captured by the system. The receipts will be declined, or you may end up with the wrong amount of STAR$ being issued for your spending.

17. Why are my submitted receipts rejected?
Receipts that contain incomplete or unclear information will be rejected. Do ensure that receipt image submitted is clear and following information has been captured:
- Mall Name
- Shop Name
- Unit Number
- Transaction Date & Time
- Receipt Number
- Transaction Amount
You may wish to seek assistance from the Customer Service Assistants or contact us at CapitaStar Customer Service line (Tel: (65) 6631-9931 / email: retail@capitaland.com) if you face difficulties uploading your receipts.

18. My receipts are too long and cannot be captured fully, what can I do?
For long receipts, you may fold it at portion describing the products purchase before uploading it. Please ensure the crucial information below are clearly captured:
- Mall Name
- Shop Name
- Unit Number
- Transaction Date and Time
- Receipt Number
- Transaction Amount

19. If the shops do not issue printed receipts, can I still submit the handwritten receipts to earn STAR$?
You can earn STAR$ for handwritten receipts, if they contain the information below:

- Shop Name
- Unit Number

1. I have forgotten my password. How can I reset it?
To reset your password, you may follow the simple steps below:
Mobile App or Website
- Launch the CapitaStar App or visit CapitaStar.com
- Select “Forgot Password”
- Enter the required fields, an SMS One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to you
- Proceed to login into your account with the One-Time Password (OTP) received
- You will be prompted to create a new password upon your successful login

2. I tried to reset my password through “Forgot Password” option but I was brought to a login page after I key in my details, what should I do?
If you have entered the required fields correctly, you should receive an SMS One-Time Password (OTP) sent to you. Proceed to key in your OTP at the login page to proceed.

3. How can I update my registered mobile number and email address?
You can change your registered mobile and email address anytime. However, do ensure that the email address and mobile number updated are valid and solely owned by you.
There are two ways to update your details:
Mobile App
- Download and launch the CapitaStar App
- Select Icon at top left hand corner and tap on your registered name displayed
- On your profile page, tap on “Edit Profile”
- Key in your preferred email address or mobile number*
- Click on “Save Changes” to complete
*For mobile number updating, you will receive an SMS One-Time Code (OTC) for verification. Simply key in the 6-digit OTC received to verify the change.

- Login to your CapitaStar account at https://www.capitastar.com.sg
- Click on your available STAR$ balance
- Select “My Profile” from the dropdown menu
- Key in your preferred email address or mobile number*
- Click on “Update” to complete

4.. During sign-up, I encountered error message “Email already exists”, what should I do?
If you are prompted with the error message, you may check the following:
- Check that your email address entered is correct
- Check that there is no space entered between the characters
- Check if you are sharing this email address with anyone
If you have checked all of the above and are still receiving the error message, please approach our Customer Service Assistant at any of our Participating CapitaLand Malls for assistance.

5. During sign-up, I encountered error message “Mobile no already exists”, what should I do?
It is important that you update a valid and unique Singapore registered mobile number as it will be your membership identifier for the CapitaStar Rewards Programme.
If you are prompted with the error message, you may check the following:
- Check that your mobile number entered is correct
- Check that you have selected the country location correctly
- Ensure that you are the only owner for the mobile number
However, if you are the owner of the mobile number and have never created an account with us before, please approach our Customer Service Assistant at any of our Participating CapitaLand Malls for assistance.

6. I did not receive any One-Time Code (OTC) sent to me during registration, how do I proceed?
If you did not receive any One-Time Code (OTC) shortly after submission, do attempt the following first:
- Check that you have selected the correct country location
- Check that you have entered the correct mobile number
- Click on “Resend” on the verification code screen to request for a new OTC
If you are still not receiving the OTC after attempting the above, do restart your mobile phone and try again. Alternatively, you may contact our CapitaStar Customer Service Hotline at Tel: (65) 6631-9931 or Email to retail@capitaland.com.

7. I have received a One-Time Code (OTC) to verify my mobile number, however I was prompted with error message “Incorrect OTC, please enter again”, what should I do?
You may click on “Resend” to request for a new OTC. If it still doesn’t work for you, kindly contact our CapitaStar Customer Service Hotline at Tel: (65) 6631-9931 or Email us at retail@capitaland.com.

8. I encountered error message “Email/Mobile or Password is invalid” when I try to login. How do I proceed?
If you are prompted with the error message, you may check the following:
- Check that your information entered is correct
- Check that there is no space entered between the characters
However, if you still encounter the same error message, it is recommended for you to reset your password through “Forgot Password” option. Please refer to point 1 for more information.

9 Why is the CapitaStar App on my iPad not shown on full screen?
The CapitaStar App is currently not optimized for use on all iPad and Tablet devices at the moment, therefore the App will not be shown on full screen.

3. How do I use the carpark e-Voucher after redemption?
To use your carpark e-Voucher redeemed, follow these steps:
- Launch the CapitaStar App
- Tap on the “Vouchers” tab 15 minutes before leaving the Mall
- Select your carpark e-Voucher
- Select 'Tap to Use'
- Verify your IU number and tap 'Confirm'
The redeemed carpark fee will be deducted upon exit, there is no need to remove your cash card. Please note that failure to ‘Tap to Use’ 15 minutes before leaving the Mall will result in an unsuccessful utilization of the Carpark e-Voucher. Unsuccessful utilization of the Carpark e-Voucher is non-refundable and non-extendable.

4. How do I update the new IU number?
To update your IU number, simply follow the steps below:
- Launch the CapitaStar App
- Select Icon at top left hand corner and tap on your registered name displayed
- On your profile page, tap on “Edit Profile”
- Key in your new IU number
- Click on “Save Changes” to complete
Always remember to check that the IU number has been entered correctly before tapping on 'Tap to Use' on your voucher. Once used, the carpark e-Voucher is non-refundable and non-extendable.

5. What is the maximum number of carpark e-Vouchers I can use at any one time?
Limited to the usage of one (1) e-Voucher at any one time, regardless of value.

6. Can I redeem more than one (1) carpark e-Voucher?
At any one time, only one (1) carpark e-Voucher of each value can be redeemed. After usage, you are able to redeem another one.

7. Is the carpark e-Voucher transferrable?
Carpark e-Voucher is non-transferrable and non-refundable.

8. Can I extend the usage period of the carpark e-Voucher ?
Carpark e-Voucher's validity period cannot be extended and STAR$ redeemed is non-refundable.

9. Can I combine the usage of the redeemed carpark coupon with X-hour of complimentary carpark coupon issued by participating CapitaLand Mall?
Yes, they can be combined. Please remove your cash card from IU before exiting the gantry. The redeemed carpark e-Voucher will be deducted from the total charge first and the complimentary coupon will be applied to the remaining charges.
