    • What is location-based feature about and how does it work?

      Our new location-based feature utilises Beacon marketing technology, a proximity marketing channel to interact and engage with consumers at strategic locations within participating CapitaLand Malls.

      Small, wireless Bluetooth devices known as Beacon devices are used to transmit signals via Bluetooth to your smartphones if detected within the range of the Beacon devices. Shoppers with the CapitaStar App who turn on location-based notifications under their CapitaStar App settings will get to enjoy real-time personalised location-based notifications when shopping in participating CapitaLand Malls.

    • Which are the participating CapitaLand Malls?

      The 2 participating CapitaLand Malls are Raffles City Singapore and Tampines Mall.

    • How can I receive location-based notifications?

      To receive location-based notifications in your CapitaStar account, you must fulfil all of the following steps:

      1. Update to the latest version of the CapitaStar App.
      2. Allow CapitaStar to use your device's Bluetooth* and ensure that your Bluetooth is on while shopping or dining in Raffles City Singapore and Tampines Mall.
      3. Allow CapitaStar to have access to your location when you are in CapitaLand properties while using the CapitaStar App.
      4. Always allow CapitaStar to have access to your location when you are in CapitaLand properties even when you are not using the CapitaStar App to receive location-based notifications without using the App. Tap "Keep Only While Using" to only receive location-based notifications when using the CapitaStar App.
      5. Allow CapitaStar to send you notifications.
      6. Make sure that you've agreed to our Terms and Conditions and consented to receive location-based notifications.

      7. Once steps 1 to 6 are done, your "location-based" notifications option under the "Settings" page of the CapitaStar App will be toggled on.
